Show Career of Tessa (Bowstones Indianna of Beaverbrook)

Tessa celebrating her 10th birthday
Beautiful as ever
Tessa is a black
Our first show dog, Tessa began her career in April 1997. Since then she has made us proud, achieving very high standards. We consider ourselves most fortunate to be the owners of such a quality Bitch.
Tessa's most notable achievement is Best
Puppy in Show under Ann Arch at Kington
Agricultural Society Open Show in September 1997. Also, being placed 1st in
Undergraduate Bitch by Joyce Brabban at the Yellow
Labrador Club Championship Show in September 1998 was a memorable moment.
Thanks go to Zena Thorn Andrews for Group 3 at
Having been out of coat for the remainder of 1999's hot summer, Tessa
celebrated her return to the ring in October by qualifying for Crufts under judge Mr Frank Kane
with 2nd place in Post Graduate at Midland Counties Championship Show. The Year
2000 has started well, with our thanks to Kathy Gorman for awarding Tessa Group
4 at Stourbridge & District Canine Society in March.
We would like to thank Mrs C Craig for awarding Tessa 3rd place in Limit Bitch
at Richmond Championship Show 2000, thus gaining her Stud Book Number and Crufts Qualification for life.
Tessa has been busy on maternity duty, now
being the proud mum to 4 daughters and 1 son born on 28 January 2001 by Sh Ch Trentwith Sir Winston. We
have returned to the ring with her daughter, Beaverbrook Sweet Honesty (Honor), in the summer of 2001 and are continuing to enjoy
much success.
Tessa continued her winning ways throughout
2002, and as we entered 2003 it was hard to believe that she would officially
be a Veteran in September. Despite this, she continues to take BOB at Open
Shows in her own special style. It is impossible to put into words how much she
has given to this family.
Tessa is now a veteran, and at her first
veteran class was runner up – not a bad start. Tessa continues to love her
showing, and competed at Crufts 2004 in the veteran
bitch class.
At Exemption/Companion dog shows, Tessa has
achieved 4 BEST IN SHOW and 2 RESERVE BEST IN SHOW awards.
Tessa is now enjoying her retirement and
enjoying playing the doting grandma, although she still takes part in the odd
veteran class when she feels like it! On 5th May 2007 Tessa
certainly felt like it, winning the Special
Veteran class at Worcester & Malvern Canine Society. On 15th
September 2007 Tessa again won the Special
Veteran class, this time at Coventry Ladies Kennel Society. Obviously
deciding she wants to come out of retirement, Tessa went all the way to Best Veteran in Show at Redditch &
District Canine Society on 13th October 2007, and again Best Veteran in Show at Ludlow &
District Kennel Association on 2nd December 2007. On 3rd
May 2008 Tessa successfully defended her title at Worcester & Malvern
Canine Society, once again winning the Special
Veteran class and, alongside her daughter Honor,
won Best Brace – a very special day.
